Almost everything in The Tea started life somewhere else. This page explains where it comes from, what our labels mean, and how much weight any of it deserves.

Where the tea comes from

Spilla collects publicly available material on a schedule and presents it in one feed. The sources are:

• Social posts from public accounts belonging to shows, networks, cast members and fan pages.
• News articles from entertainment publications, via their own public feeds.
• Podcast episodes from public RSS feeds.
• Show and cast data from public catalogues and official listings.

We link to the original wherever one exists. If you want to know whether something is true, the source is the place to start — not our summary of it.

What our labels mean

CONFIRMED

The person involved, the production, or the network has said it publicly and on the record. This is the only label that means “this happened”.

REPORTED

An established publication has reported it, attributing it to their own sourcing. Credible, but still someone else's reporting — and sometimes wrong.

RUMOUR

It is circulating. Nobody has confirmed it, and it may well be false. Treat it as gossip, because that is what it is.

Labels are applied by our editors on the evidence available at the time. A story can move between them, and a story can be removed. Read the label before you repeat the claim.

Advertising and paid partnerships

Some social posts we surface are paid promotions by the person who published them. Where we can detect this, the post is marked AD in the feed. That marking reflects the original post's own disclosure; Spilla is not paid for it, and marking is only as reliable as the disclosure it is based on.

Automation, and its limits

Collection is automatic and runs on a schedule, which means:

• Items can arrive out of order, late, or not at all if a source is unavailable.
• A post deleted at the source may briefly remain visible in Spilla.
• Automatic tagging of shows and people is imperfect. Sometimes a post is filed under the wrong name.
• Summaries are condensed. Detail, nuance and caveats present in the original may be missing from ours.

Games and trivia

Quiz questions, facts and the daily battle are written for entertainment and drawn from broadcast episodes and public reporting. Errors happen — especially with dates, season numbering and who said what to whom. Tell us and we will fix it.

Copyright and fair use

Material appears in Spilla for the purposes of commentary, criticism, news reporting and identification, with attribution and a link to the source. We claim no ownership of it, and all trade marks and show titles belong to their respective owners.

Corrections and removals

If something in Spilla is wrong about you, or uses material you own:

Write to hello@getspilla.com and start the subject line with CORRECTION for a factual error, or LEGAL for a copyright or takedown request.

Include a link to the item and what is wrong with it. We take corrections seriously, and we would rather remove something than leave a false claim standing.
