Community Guidelines

Last updated 5 September 2026

Spilla is for people who love arguing about reality television. Being opinionated is the point. Being cruel is not. These guidelines apply everywhere you can write something in the app: comments, groups, polls, and your own profile.

The short version

Come for the storyline, not the person. Say what you think about what happened on screen; do not say what you think should happen to someone off it.

What we want more of

What is not allowed

Harassment and hate

No attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, illness, age, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation. No slurs, no dehumanising language, no pile-ons, and no encouraging others to target someone.

Threats and violence

No threats of any kind, no wishing harm on anyone, and no glorification of violence — including against cast members you dislike.

Private information

Do not post home addresses, phone numbers, private accounts, medical information, family members' details or anything else that lets someone be found or contacted off-platform. This applies to public figures too. Being on television is not consent to be doorstepped.

Rumours presented as fact

Speculation is part of the fun, but label it. Do not state unconfirmed claims about someone's health, sobriety, criminal conduct, immigration status, sexuality or relationships as though they were established. Serious allegations about identifiable people need a source.

Sexual content and minors

No pornography, no sexualised content involving minors of any kind, and no sexual commentary about anyone who was a minor when filmed. Content that sexualises children is reported to the authorities and the account is removed permanently.

Self-harm

Do not encourage self-harm, suicide or disordered eating. If you are struggling, please talk to someone: in Sweden, Mind's Självmordslinjen is on 90101; elsewhere, your local crisis line.

Spam and manipulation

No advertising, no affiliate links, no bots, no vote brigading, and no multiple accounts used to make one opinion look like many.

Other people's work

Do not post copyrighted clips, screenshots or articles in a way that replaces the original, and credit creators when you quote them.

Reporting

Every comment, message and profile can be reported from inside the app. Reports go to a human. If something is urgent — a credible threat, or content involving a minor — email hello@getspilla.com and put URGENT in the subject line.

What happens when a rule is broken

Our response depends on how serious the breach is and whether it has happened before:

If you think we got it wrong, reply to the moderation notice or email hello@getspilla.com. A different person will look at it.

A note about cast members

The people on these shows are real, they read what is written about them, and some of them are on Spilla. Talk about them the way you would if they were in the room. It rarely makes the take weaker.
